The Think Science Fair is an annual event held under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister and Chairman of the Emirates Foundation (EF). First held at a national level in 2013 by the Emirates Foundation, this event has grown substantially to the renowned scientific fair it is today.
In 2016 the Think Science Fair was held at the Dubai World Trade Center from April 17th- 19th for three days. The Fair entailed the participation of more than 640 contestants from high schools and universities with more than 10,000 youth visitors and two main activities.
We developed a high-energy, action packed science show that illustrated the many exciting careers in science technology. Developed and presented by our in-house team, the show was performed to teens and young adults throughout the event.
We are very excited to announce that our team will be delivering an action-packed science show at this years Think Science Fair, taking place at the Dubai World Trade Center, 17th – 19th April.
An initiative of the Emirates Foundation, Think Science is a platform for UAE youth between the ages of 15 and 24 designed to develop their knowledge in the fields of science and technology. The program aims to motivate and inspire UAE youths to pursue their curiosity and passion and to investigate solutions that tackle real-world problems.
The science show – performed in Arabic and English – has been especially developed for this event. We have worked with the UK’s first science-discovery center Techniquest, bringing together their most popular demonstrations to produce 45 minutes of spectacular science.

Marking the first International Day for Women and Girls in Science, our team-member Banan shared how her work with TalentSlKCA has enabled her to inspire a new generation of girls to talk and do science at the United Nations in New York. Invited to talk by the Royal Academy of Science International Trust (RASIT) for the invitation, Banan introduced her own personal story of joining the Mishkat team, and how her horizons were broadened by working with the world’s best.
Reflecting on her experience, Banan says ‘It was wonderful to be part of an event that openly discussed women and girls role in science, to learn from others and exchange ideas. I hope that by presenting and attending at this important event, forces can be joined to develop big ideas and deliver great projects.’
We are delighted to announce that will be supporting the set-up and management of Saudi Aramco’s Energy Exhibit. Located close to where oil was first discovered in Saudi Arabia in the 1930s, Saudi Aramco’s Energy Exhibit will be a landmark science center set to deliver a transformational visitor experience.
The Energy Exhibit will be an interactive experience about petroleum, science, energy, and technology. Especially developed for the Kingdom’s youth, the Energy Exhibit will enable visitors to encounter innovators and the new technologies driving the energy industry; discover the energy issues affecting our global future; and will inspire careers in science and technology. The experience will include a 3D theatre with a changing program of spectacular presentations, content-rich guided tours, and a diverse programming offer that will develop skills, deepen knowledge, and illuminate new possibilities for student and family audiences. The programming offer has been developed in partnership with an international team of museum and learning experts.
The Energy Exhibit will add an important dimension to the Knowledge Park of the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture in Dhahran, developed to inspire a passion for knowledge, creativity, and cross-cultural engagement for the future of the Kingdom.
