Banan presents at the United Nations

Marking the first International Day for Women and Girls in Science, our team-member Banan shared how her work with TalentSlKCA has enabled her to inspire a new generation of girls to talk and do science at the United Nations in New York. Invited to talk by the Royal Academy of Science International Trust (RASIT) for the invitation, Banan introduced her own personal story of joining the Mishkat team, and how her horizons were broadened by working with the world’s best.

Reflecting on her experience, Banan says ‘It was wonderful to be part of an event that openly discussed women and girls role in science, to learn from others and exchange ideas. I hope that by presenting and attending at this important event, forces can be joined to develop big ideas and deliver great projects.’

Operating a new destination for energy engagement

We are delighted to announce that will be supporting the set-up and management of Saudi Aramco’s Energy Exhibit. Located close to where oil was first discovered in Saudi Arabia in the 1930s, Saudi Aramco’s Energy Exhibit will be a landmark science center set to deliver a transformational visitor experience.

The Energy Exhibit will be an interactive experience about petroleum, science, energy, and technology. Especially developed for the Kingdom’s youth, the Energy Exhibit will enable visitors to encounter innovators and the new technologies driving the energy industry; discover the energy issues affecting our global future; and will inspire careers in science and technology. The experience will include a 3D theatre with a changing program of spectacular presentations, content-rich guided tours, and a diverse programming offer that will develop skills, deepen knowledge, and illuminate new possibilities for student and family audiences. The programming offer has been developed in partnership with an international team of museum and learning experts.

The Energy Exhibit will add an important dimension to the Knowledge Park of the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture in Dhahran, developed to inspire a passion for knowledge, creativity, and cross-cultural engagement for the future of the Kingdom.
