Storytelling at the Etihad Museum

Last week Ant, Annie and Claire were in Dubai to continue our work with the Etihad Museum.

Ant worked with the Senior Management Team and provided mentorship for the newly opened Museum.

Claire has been developing Family and School Resources over the past few months and was in Dubai to go through some of the finishing touches for them and evaluation processes. It’s been a really exciting and creative project and we’re very much looking forward to being able to share more soon!

Annie was back in Dubai and working with the Museum’s guides once more, this time training them to deliver the elementary school program. The program takes the form of an interactive storytelling which tells the story of the unification of the United Arab Emirates and the Founding Fathers who made it possible.

Storytelling is integral to Emirati culture and the guides were very excited for the activity as an elementary school offer. They were very enthusiastic in training, adding personal touches into their delivery and learning how stories can effectively engage young visitors. More details about the elementary (and middle and high school) program coming soon..!
